A Tribute to You Steven, sorry I’d sooner call you Fisky than Steve!! It’s as if the world has stopped since you've been gone, and nothing feels quite as bright. It still feels like a dream, if only I could just wake up and none of the last 6 weeks were real… I remember the way you smiled, the light in your eyes always got me! You just had a way of making feel like I everything was going to be ok,, no matter what the issue was! The memories we have together will never fade, who we were, and who I was with you. Time still moves forward, even if I don’t want it to, but our moments live on, timeless and sacred, only to you and I knew…That is enough for me! You taught me so much and though you are gone, and the hurt still remains. I love that we had each other, my memories will be a constant reminder that you existed, that we existed. In every sunset, I see you. In every song, I hear the whispers of our shared moments, and in every dream, you still walk beside me. Though our paths have diverged in this life, I carry you with me…always. The pain of losing you is unbearable, but it is only because the love we shared was so strong…that will never go… You…will forever be a part of me. Baby we will meet again, because you promised me…Always and Forever??? Xxxxxx❤️xxxxxX

You don't raise heroes, you raise Sons. And if you treat them like Sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's only just in your own eyes.

It’s hard to find the words and yet there’s so much that I could talk about. We met 14 years ago attending a medical at the same time which was the start of our journey together in the Fire Service, this also soon became the start of a new friendship and we since attended all our courses/training together and have been on more shouts than I’ll ever be able to remember. Not only did we share our time in the Fire Service but also ended up working alongside each other at Spectra too for the last 7 years, it will forever remain strange not to see you around and has left quite the void. We used to spend every Friday night going out drinking, often with a few games of pool being involved somewhere during the evening, until more recent years where a shandy, pool and an early night became enough for us. Alongside this were many camping trips, BBQs, bike rides, full English breakfasts and much more, lots of memories. To this day it still doesn’t always feel real, and there’s times that I expect to see you arrive through the door (obviously not on time though!). Truly one of the kindest, most helpful, and all-round knowledgeable guys that I’ve ever met, the ‘go-to’ guy, and it will always remain a privilege to have called you a friend and what felt like a brother. You’ll be missed by everyone, R.I.P mate xx
