It’s hard to find the words and yet there’s so much that I could talk about. We met 14 years ago attending a medical at the same time which was the start of our journey together in the Fire Service, this also soon became the start of a new friendship and we since attended all our courses/training together and have been on more shouts than I’ll ever be able to remember. Not only did we share our time in the Fire Service but also ended up working alongside each other at Spectra too for the last 7 years, it will forever remain strange not to see you around and has left quite the void. We used to spend every Friday night going out drinking, often with a few games of pool being involved somewhere during the evening, until more recent years where a shandy, pool and an early night became enough for us. Alongside this were many camping trips, BBQs, bike rides, full English breakfasts and much more, lots of memories. To this day it still doesn’t always feel real, and there’s times that I expect to see you arrive through the door (obviously not on time though!). Truly one of the kindest, most helpful, and all-round knowledgeable guys that I’ve ever met, the ‘go-to’ guy, and it will always remain a privilege to have called you a friend and what felt like a brother. You’ll be missed by everyone, R.I.P mate xx
